Day 5 and counting...

We are on day five of fevers and sick children. I may start climbing the walls this afternoon! I am quite certain Ana Lucia will be the next to fall under the spell of the virus.

We needed some bread, juice, milk, and a few other staples so we sent the healthy one out to shop.

Ok, so I am kidding. However, I was forced to send Katie into the grocery the other evening while I sat in the parking lot in my pjs. Nice.

Just when I thought being cooped up in the house all week might send me over the edge Marco melted my heart this morning. He was wrapped up in his blanket on the couch when he said in his pitiful little sick voice "Mom, thanks for taking care of me". It was one of those sweet parenting moments that keeps you moving forward.

The recovering brothers.

Thank goodness for Motrin and teenagers. Mark and I had a fundraising banquet to attend last evening. I dosed the sickees with Motrin and Zack babysat. The banquet was awesome. I'll post later about the foundation and share its message. It is something near and dear to my heart and it was so encouraging to hear the founders speak. More coming later...

I close with a sincere THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY!!!!

That comment from Marco is not surprising. Even at his tender age, he has the most grateful, gracious heart.

We can be there Sunday. As I told Holly once when she lived in Texas, " Hold on, help is on the way."

When I opened this on my laptop the bottom of the picture of Ana Lucia was the bottom of my page, so I could not see the "just kidding" part in the text beneath the picture. That made me laugh so hard--thank you, I needed that!
