It is this time of year that I start dreaming of living somewhere, anywhere, other than here. It would need to be south of here. I detest the time of year when the closets and dressers are still full of winter clothes but warm weather clothes are desperate to take their places.
Our covered pool begins to take on the form of an ugly monster just laughing at us. We start counting down the days until it will be sparkling water luring us for fun and refreshment.
We don't do spring break vacations and every year about this time I start getting a little pouty about that fact.
Yesterday I broke out some Easter decorations to breathe some Spring into the house. Ana Lucia is ready to color eggs! She has spent a significant time since yesterday playing with the bunnies. I caught her earlier today sitting at the kitchen island having a detailed conversations with her new friends...

Gustavo asked me this morning if the Easter bunny was a real bunny or someone dressed in a costume. Hmmmm, he technically didn't ask if the Easter bunny was real.
The month of February nearly kills me every year. March isn't much better. The highlight of March is our oldest child's birthday. Yeah! He turns 17 in a few weeks. How in the world did that happen? He takes the SAT this weekend and is full force into looking at colleges. We have our first college visit at the end of the month. He is having an intense week of baseball tryouts for the high school team. Wish him luck! The team has been working out since October and had 5:40AM workouts twice a week since the first week of January. He is one dedicated athlete.
Today's high is 72 degrees...tomorrow 43. Spring in Ohio...ridiculous.

Not much better down here in NC. High tomorrow 79 . . . 48 and rain on Friday.
Our first week of March was quite the roller coaster ride. Friday February 27 was sunny, with a high of 72. Three days later we had 4" of snow, with lows the next two nights barely into the teens. Then Friday (3/6) it was sunny and back in the 70s!
Update, it will not even make it into the 40s tomorrow, and the day is to open with freezing rain. Yuk.
Far cry from the 80s yesterday.
I was sitting out on the porch last night talking on the phone to Mom, and it was still 74 at 8:30 pm.
Well, at least I got three days of bicycling in while the temps were in the 80s.
